About MeI am a mother to three little boys. Without these three boys in my life, I would not be who I am today. I am proud to say they are mine and I love being "Queen" and wearing my crown.
I am also a southern born “yankee”, raised in Alabama. I now enjoy the three foot snow banks I shovel on cold snowy days in Maine. I left behind my parents, two brothers, two sister in laws, three nieces and numerous extended family members to battle the Alabama heat, humidity and venomous snakes without me. I miss them all, but NOT the heat, humidity and snakes. About My PhotographyAiming to use only natural light, I shoot what I see, always trying to capture the little details, always wanting to tell a story, hoping to get the story right. My photography has been described as being timeless, natural, unforced and real. I have been told that I am a "visual storyteller".
I really do love to tell stories - real stories, untouched stories; you will generally get what I shoot. No massive photoshop corrections for me. My favorite photos are not the ones that are always completely in focus, or so crisp and sharp that they look fake. My favorite photos are the ones that make me laugh, make me cry and the ones that literally make me say, "I have been there" or "I want to go there". I love when I snap a picture and it pulls me right in, leaving me emotionally attached to the subject and the moment. |
